Art & Fashion Festival is a multistage meeting of Art and Fashion, organized by and held in the Centre of Business and Art Stary Browar 50 50. It is a dialogue between the artists and the receivers, as well as between the young participants and the artists in their prime. The aim of the third annual Festival was to create a platform for a professional discussion on numerous aspects of the world of fashion, also on the backstage life, without make-ups, for the very first time in Poland.
The second edition of the Festival was awarded the title of the Excellence of Fashion (Doskonałość Mody) by “Twój Styl” for the most important fashion event in the year 2008. Again, in January 2010 the formula of the Festival was appreciated by “Twój Styl” and awarded the title of the Excellent Education.
The third annual Art & Fashion Festival 2009 was held under the patronage of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship, as well as the Ministry of National Education, European Year of Creativity and Innovations, the City of Poznań and the Cities of Gniezno and Ostrow Wielkopolski; the Academy of the Fine Arts Foundation and Art Stations Foundation5050; Twój Styl, Exklusiv Magazine, Gala, Chilli Zet radio and Onet.pl.
ART & FASHION WORKSHOPS

The open workshops were the focal point of the Festival. They lasted 10 days and were addressed to young artists in the field of Fashion Design, Fashion Drawing and Fashion Writing. They were led by a fashion designer based in London - Monika Jakubiak (FASHION DESIGN), a fashion illustrator and graphic designer living in Berlin - Tomek Sadurski (FASHION DRAWING), and two editors from Magazine Exklusiv: editor-in-chief Hania Rydlewska and her colleague, Marcin Różyc (FASHION WRITING). They were complemented by FASHION JEWELLERY workshops, led by a jeweller and designer Anna Orska.

The workshops were accompanied by the screenings of the fashion movies. Art & Fashion screenings offered a chance to see a set of classic movies in which costumes played a significant role. The review covers both Polish and world productions. For the very first time our viewers, guided by professor Marek Hendrykowski, had a chance to study a relation between fashion and the motion picture.
